Konami Working to Improve Metal Gear Solid Collection

After the disastrous launch of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection, Konami is taking steps to ensure a smoother release for the upcoming Vol. 2. The first collection was plagued with issues such as a lack of graphics and control options, along with technical problems on all platforms. Reviews were negative, leaving a stain on the reputation of the entire Master Collection. Production producer Noriaki Okamura has acknowledged the problems and has confirmed the development of a follow-up collection.

Vol. 2 in the Works

Okamura mentioned in the latest episode of Konami’s Production Hotline series that Vol. 2 is in development. Despite the challenges faced with the launch of Vol. 1, the team is committed to avoiding a repeat of the issues. Okamura asked for patience from fans and assured them that they are working hard to address the problems that plagued the first collection. The company is determined to learn from its past mistakes and deliver a better experience to players.

Upcoming Releases and Improvements

While the games included in Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 have not been confirmed, Konami has hinted at the inclusion of Metal Gear Solid 4. This game, which was originally released on the PS3, may finally be making its way to the new collection. Additionally, Okamura revealed that a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 is already playable from start to finish and hinted at a release date that is not too far off. The team at Konami is striving to make Metal Gear Solid Delta a faithful adaptation of the original games, while also explaining the decision not to label it as a “Hideo Kojima game.”

Overall, Konami is working hard to redeem itself after the rocky launch of the first Master Collection. With improvements in graphics, controls, and overall gameplay experience, fans can look forward to a better and more polished collection with Vol. 2. The company’s commitment to learning from past mistakes and delivering a top-quality product shows its dedication to the Metal Gear Solid franchise and its loyal fan base.
