Lost in Random, the cult fantasy adventure game, is set to surprise fans with a sequel titled Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, slated for release in 2025. Developed by Thunderful, who acquired the original developer Zoink, this new installment will follow the journey of The Queen of Random, also known as Aleksandra.
In this new adventure, Aleksandra finds herself navigating through a “randomly generated gauntlet” filled with monstrous pawns and giant board games. Trapped in a looping purgatory by a malevolent Storyteller, she must team up with her dice companion, Fortune, to combat dark forces and break free from her prison loop.
Unlike its predecessor, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die takes on a different gameplay approach, resembling a traditional roguelite like Hades. Players can expect to encounter random dice rolls for attacks, adding an element of unpredictability and excitement to each run. The development team at Thunderful aims to deliver a fresh experience while retaining the essence of the original game’s world and design.
Martin Storm, the game director, expressed excitement about expanding the Lost in Random universe.
